Songbird Sports Massage
Songbird Sports Massage Wax is our most popular wax and used by many therapists involved in sports and remedial massage, as well as by physiotherapists, osteopaths and sports professionals.
One of the original waxes from our mother business in New Zealand, it has been used by professionals for nearly 30 years. It is used for massage work on players in premiership football, international rugby, cricket, swimming, ice-hockey, softball, track athletics, rowing and on jockeys… and these are the ones we know about! It was also used at the last two Football World Cups and at the 2012 Olympics.
Our Sports Massage Wax contains essential oils of Manuka (from the same plant used to make Manuka honey) and Lemon. We also blend in a high quality Calendula Paste from New Zealand, and Hypericum (St John’s Wort). With its lemony/leathery scent, this wax is neither herbal nor floral.
Manuka essential oil has a long history of use by the Maori people and has been referred to as the New Zealand Tea Tree Oil.
Songbird Sports Massage Wax is an excellent pre- and post-event massage medium.
